my biologist...

Here's a conversation Makayla and I had today.. I thought it was too funny not to share.

Makayla was helping fold some laundry and she was putting her undies in a pile.. when she came across a pair of her christmas ones with a reindeer on them.


Makayla: Reindeer can't fly.
Me: oh ya!?
Makayla: ya, they don't have wings.

I guess we have a biologist on our hands!

Max and Ruby..... Ruby & Max... (come on you all know the song). This is Makayla's new favorite show. It's pretty cute, but i'm still curious as to why these two young bunnies don't have a parent! :)

The EGG hunt..

We took the kids to the Easter Egg hunt yesterday.... that was quite the experience. Some man dressed as a women was standing next to my lil girl and I was completly grossed out. I mean he/she had FACIAL STUBBLE and man toes.. but was wearing a dress and was "trying" to talk like a women. EWWWWW

But besides that, the kids had fun. They were both in the same age group, so Josh grabbed Makayla and they took off running while Mason and I stayed at our own pace. Mason was excited at first to be able to RUN FREE, but then realized there were eggs on the ground. He picked up 2-3 then sat down in the grass and played... got up and picked up another 2, and that was it. He's not a fan of big crowds or noise, but I think he did pretty well!

We came back home and had our own egg hunt at the house so I could get some pics taken, that seemed to be a way bigger hit than the city one!

A cake and some eggs

So i'm typing this instead of packing (we're leaving for La Grande in 4 hours) or doing the dishes or folding my laundry.. but at least my blog will be updated!!! LOL

I made this awesome diaper cake for my friend Kim's babyshower tomorrow morning. I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it. It seriously took maybe an hour to do (Sorry for the crappy pictures.. but you get the idea!).

We colored easter eggs last night, and Mason loved every minute of "THROWING" them into the water. He's such a boy. I don't think he could be gentle with anything if his life depended on it! But he was so proud of himself! Makayla had fun painting glitter on the eggs after the color was dried.. she's quite the artiste!

FREE MONEY!!!!

Did I get your attention?? I am happy to say I will be going to this wonderful store on Sunday... with $100 in rewards to use! It's FREE MONEY to spend on my obsession with that place!

And of course we can't go to Spokane without stopping in Target (the easter bunny isn't quite done shopping yet) and Josh has a gift card he won at work for Best Buy. Hopefully we score some awesome stuff while we're up there... and if so I'll post a pic!.. stay tuned!
