THE END 8-9-09

We had to head home on Sunday cause I had to work on Monday. We didn't want to leave. We made a million stops on the way home including IKEA and Multnomah Falls. It was so busy at the falls that we didn't stay long, we could barely even walk through all the people there. Plus (as you can see) the kids had had it by then. It took us 12 hours to drive from Lincoln City to Lewiston, and we got home at 11:00pm. We'll have to do it again next year!!!

Sat. 8-8-09

Saturday left us with great/decent weather for fun on the beach, at the aquarium and a lil outlet shopping for me and my sis. Makayla absolutely LOVED the sand she played in it and the water for hours. I think her and Luke would have been happy to spend a month just playing in the sand. For dinner we all went to Mo's.. I mean you HAVE to do that! We told them it was Mason's 2nd birthday so they brought out a lil dish of ice cream with a candle on top. He loved all the attention and even clapped for himself when they were done singing. I cant' wait for his REAL birthday soon!

Onto the coast 8-7-09

So Friday we had to say goodbye to my friend in Portland and onto the coast we went. The weather was supposed to be cold/rainy so we lucked out with it only being cloudy and a tad cold! My parents rented a house right on the beach and we all met up there.

The Oregon Zoo 8-7-09

What's a trip to Portland if you don't stop by the Oregon Zoo? And then what's a trip to the Oregon Zoo without a train ride? We were at the Zoo all day, but we never got bored once!
Birthday BUDS! We had to buy these shirts. They were just too perfect!
My bestest friend since middle school! Of course our kids are forced to be best friends!

Wed. 8-5-09

So i'm gonna have to label the days on these posts as I have so many cool pictures to share. We left early morning to head to Portland, which would normally take 6 with just the 2 of us, but add kids to the mix and a few mix ups in our directions and it took us 8 1/2. I guess not too bad right? But we finally made it to my friend's house had dinner and headed to the park to let the kids get their wiggles out.Ms. Bethy (born just hours before Makayla!)

4th of July

We headed up to the Dyke again for the firework show. It's awesome because they shoot the fireworks out over the river and everybody loads up in boats, or along the dyke (for us without boats) to watch the show. We went extra early this year and took snacks/drinks so we could get the spot we wanted. The kids had a blast!

Snakes & Sparklers

Yup.. that's all we bought for fireworks this year. We had so much left over from last year because Makayla hated them that we thought we'd just buy the basics. Well she was even scared of the sparklers this year as well. But she does love snakes! haha O-well. Mason was a lil scared of them, but as long as they didn't crackle/screach he liked them.

Feeding the "lil guys"

Well since the prior weekend we spent at the cabin with my parents we decided to go to Wallowa Lake with Josh's parents. We even camped in a TENT, and boy was it COLD and HARD! We took the tram up to to the top of the mountain to feed the "lil guys" as Makayla calls them. It was a lot of fun, with only one set-back. Ya, clumsy me slipped on the stairs while I was lugging Mason down and fell and bruised my tail-bone. It took a good month to feel better, and boy did it suck! But over all the trip was a lot of fun!

Cabin fun

What's a summer without spending a few days at the cabin? We packed up and headed over for a few relaxing days. Mason had a blast with uncle Jordan riding on the lawn mower. Those two are just like each other. Both love anything with wheels that move. Makayla loved having a fire with SMORES! But who doesn't!?

Mothers Day 2009!

For Mothers day this year we had a picnic along the Dyke. The Dogwood trees were in full bloom and it was just a beautiful warm day! Couldn't ask for anything more than to spend the day with my kids and husband along the river!

Fun at the school/park

Our favorite past time this spring was taking a short walk around the block to the elementary school to play on the play equiment. I've only hauled my camera over once, but I think I got a few great pics!
