Sounds fun and exciting right??? NOPE! I should have known the minute Makayla woke up with a her witch chuckle, that the day was going to be, well, just one of THOSE days. Around noon, she climbed the kitchen counter into the cupboard that I hid the powdered donuts in. She's notorious for sneeking food, but never in a million years did I think she would go to those extremes to get it! So I found her sitting in a chair, her blankets surrounding her and powdered sugar all of her face. You're probably thinking... so what, she had a lil snack. Well for all of you who don't know, Makayla is CELIAC. Meaning she's allergic to Gluten (wheat, barley, rye.. etc). So I waited, and waited, and waited, and so far she hasn't thrown up.. but that doesn't usually hit till the middle of the night.
Onto the crayons.... It was about 5:15 and I was working on dinner, cutting up chicken, cooking rice, etc. and my last daycare parent came to pick up their kid. I walk out of the kitchen to get the door and find crayon swirls from one end of the wood floor to the other. I'm not even kidding.. she had a crayon, her brother had a crayon and they were going to town on the floor. This had only been going on for a max of 5 minutes! So she got to clean that mess up.. it's amazing what a magic eraser will take off, and she didn't have to apply much pressure at all. In fact, she was quite good at scrubbing, I should put that girl to work!!! :) Enjoy the pics of Makayla cleaning up her mess... I hope she learned her lesson!
