that's right folks!!!

Mason has been potty training for the past 3 weeks now. He is doing AWESOME! We're still trying to figure out how to get our poop IN the potty (as he pooped on the bathroom floor just an hour ago) but he has got #1 down like a pro! He even tried standing up to do his business as he saw his dad do, but the lil guy has such short legs, well, lets just say he couldn't get the goods up and over the ledge. Sorry you got your momma's short genes, maybe in a few years!!

Well, this is a little over due, but here is why I haven't been blogging like I had wished, our family's world got turned upside down the end of febuary.. it's taking a long time to get back into the swing of things. We miss you grandpa, so very much!

The goose-egg

Well as every other bruise seems to do.. Mason's goose egg is now in that yucky brownish-yellow stage. Pretty huh!?

..... new post finally!

So I figured it's just past the new year, and the start of a new month.. why not finally update this blog? Well sorry, you're not that lucky, but I do plan to get on here more so here's my 1st day of Feb post!!!

I ended up having the day off from work, and Josh is on Vacation this whole week, so we took the kids on a lil playdate to McDonalds, with some friends of ours. Mason had a lil accident.....

We're not too sure exactly how it happened, but he came down the slide crying. He's just fine and was more concerned about going back to play then anything!

Then last night, we were so lucky to have TWO owls hanging out in our neighbors tree whoo-ing away. We got Makayla out of bed and cracked the door for her to listen. (If anybody knows Makayla well, you'll know she LOVES owls, and even has them on her walls and bedding in her room!). So while listening, she proceded to tell us that "hers talking to me" so we asked what the owl told her and she says "whoo whoo whoo... and hers say whoo whoo whoo to my owl pillow too". Too stinking cute! How about an updated pic of her too!

That's all for now... lets see how well I do at keeping this updated!

RED BARN!!

We set off for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch (which always happens to happen on Josh's birthday.. happy 29th bday to him!) yesterday, and the in-laws tagged along as well. This year we decided to give Red Barn right outside of Colton, Wa a try. They have a huge fall festival with lots of activities for the kids. We were a tad dissapointed when our hay ride ended in a field of pumpkins that were brought in by a truck and placed all over the place. I guess it really doesn't matter, but there's just something un-american about going to a pumpkin patch with no vines and stickies everwhere! It was freezing cold, so I didn't get many pics of the kids in their halloween shirts as they were covered up by jackets, but they're cute anyways. Mason was IN LOVE with the pumpkins. He took off running towards them and trying to pick every single one up. He finally settled on a smaller pumpkin that he could actually lift and I have to say, he did a very good job! I still want to get some good fall pics of the kids, so I gotta convince Josh we should go out to Banner Ranch to play in the apple orchards and corn staulks. :) Enjoy the pics!
